About the Founder

I started my journey at the University of Illinois in Fall of 2018 as an Animal Science major. Animals were always my passion and after taking my favorite class in high school, anatomy, I dove head first into pre-vet med. I found the sciences to be much more difficult than anticipated and made the courageous switch to Graphic Design.

Art has always been another passion of mine, and after switching over and experiencing the classes first hand, I knew this was where I belonged. I hope to one day find a job that lets me incorporate my two passions, animals and art.

This topic of surrendering animals hits home to me. Of course as an animal lover, I never want to see someone give up an animal. In January 2017, I adopted a white rabbit named Cirrius. He was a gifted "Easter Bunny" that was let go in the woods after learning how much work he was. He was found and picked up by animal control, but not before losing one of his toes on his fight to survive. He was then placed into foster care, moving around from adoption event to adoption event. He has red eyes so most people did not want him, but when I met him I knew he was the perfect fit.

Today he is happy, healthy, well taken care of, and a little chunky. He enjoys his hay, his kale and treats everyday. He knows now that humans can be good, and he will never be in danger ever again.
