Branding Process.

Sketches

I wanted my brand to be representative of myself and my cause.

Some of my initial thoughts were to include a paw print. I feel that a paw print would embody my brand well, especially because of the fact that my name has "paw" in it.

I also thought including silhouettes of dogs, cats and rabbits could be really representative of the topic I am covering. They are the top three animals that overpopulate animal shelters currently.

One of my name brainstorms was "Pawtection" so some of the things that came to mind was holding hands with animals.

Development

After my initial sketches I went on to develop some of my favorite ideas in Adobe Illustrator.

I worked with a lot of my same illustrations but tried to find a way to fit my name in.

A lot of the logos I felt embody my brand, overall I was happy with a lot of them.

Final Logo

I decided to go with this logo because I really liked the way "Paw" is highlighted in the body of the dog. I think the contrast really highlights the difference I made in the word and what it stands for instead.

I also liked this logo because I feel choice looks better smaller. Pawfect is the most important word so I felt it needed hierarchy.

Branding

I decided on these colors because I wanted a warm and muted color scheme. I feel the topic I am addressing is heavy, so warm comforting colors would be the best way to go.

Colors from left to right are...

I originally wanted to use a san-serif typeface to give clean look, but I felt it was too modern. I landed on Baskerville, which gives the logo an elegant and friendly look.
